Sherpa Labs AI Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Sherpa Labs,” “we,” “us”), builds reinforcement learning environments and training data for AI labs, and runs a confidential network of finance experts. This policy explains what personal information we collect through sherpalabs.ai, how we use it and the choices you have. Experts and new hires get a separate notice covering their work with us when they’re onboarded.
What we collect
We only collect what you send us through our forms, plus basic technical data:
- Data products contact: name, work email, company, areas of interest and your message.
- Expert network application: name, email and LinkedIn profile.
- Careers application: name, email, LinkedIn profile and your resume.
- Technical and usage data: our host, Vercel, receives standard details like your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit. We also use Vercel Web Analytics to see, in aggregate, how our public sample page is read.
We don’t use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
How we use it
To reply to inquiries, review expert and job applications and follow up on them, run and secure the site (including stopping spam) and meet our legal obligations.
How we share it
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers who help us run the site, such as Vercel for hosting and Google (Google Workspace) for storing form submissions. They may use it only to provide those services.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Sherpa Labs or others.
- As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy still applies.
Expert confidentiality
We know many experts work with us alongside a full-time job. We never share your involvement with your employer or name you publicly.
Retention and security
Form submissions are stored in our Google Workspace: details in Google Sheets and resumes in Google Drive. They aren’t sent by email. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the reasons above, or longer where the law requires, and then delete it. We protect it with reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and limited access, but no system is perfectly secure.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing hello@sherpalabs.ai. We won’t treat you differently for asking.
California residents have these rights under the CCPA. We don’t sell or share personal information as that law defines those terms.
Our site doesn’t respond to Do Not Track signals, because we don’t track you across other sites in the first place.
If you’re in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. We process your information in the United States.
Children
The site isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and flag any significant changes on the site.
