About Sherpa Labs

About the role
You’ll own our coding data projects from the first call to final delivery. You’ll work with researchers at frontier labs to scope what their models need, then deliver it through our data pipelines and our growing network of expert engineers.
What you’ll do
- Scope new projects with lab researchers and turn their goals into a clear plan.
- Work with our research engineers to design and run the pipelines that produce each dataset.
- Staff and lead expert engineers on the projects that need them.
- Set the quality bar for tasks, solutions and tests, and review work against it.
- Own delivery end to end: timelines, budgets and the client relationship.
What we look for
- 2+ years as a software engineer or technical PM, or in technical operations or consulting.
- You can read code and judge whether a task or test is actually good.
- You like owning outcomes, even when the path isn’t clear.
- Low ego: you want direct feedback and act on it fast.
