About Sherpa Labs

We build the RL environments and training data that frontier AI labs use to make their models better at real work. We’re a small team in San Francisco, backed by Y Combinator and angels from OpenAI, Google, Meta and Cognition.

At the frontier of AI. You’ll work with researchers at the top AI labs, and the data you help build goes straight into the models they train.

About the role

You’ll grow the expert network behind our finance and coding data, and help more people hear about what we’re building. You’ll find and recruit the professionals our projects need, build the systems that let us do it at scale and help shape how Sherpa Labs shows up in the market.

What you’ll do

Recruit senior finance professionals and engineers into our expert network, focusing on people who are in high demand and hard to reach.
Build and automate the sourcing and outreach systems that let us staff new projects quickly.
Work with project leads to screen and vet applicants, and keep a high bar for who joins the network.
Measure conversion from first outreach to first project, and improve each stage.
Build long-term relationships with our experts to drive retention and referrals.
Support marketing across launches, content, social media and events.

What we look for

2+ years in growth, recruiting, outbound or sales, ideally at a marketplace or startup.
A track record of engaging senior, hard-to-reach professionals.
You try a lot of things quickly and double down on what works.
You write clearly and well, since much of this job is outreach.
Low ego: you want direct feedback and act on it fast.
